Active Release Technique (ART)
Active Release Technique in conjunction with chiropractic care can do amazing things for patients. Active Release Technique is considered the gold standard of soft tissue care, getting over 80% of patients better in under 5 visits.
Active Release Technique, or ART, is a manual technique used to diagnose and treat muscle, fascia and nerve injuries, pain or dysfunction. This is achieved by applying pressure on the effected tissues as the patient moves through a specific movement protocol. Dr. Clay is an Elite Provider for ART which is less than 2% of ART clinicians. ART is not only for back and neck pain, it is an amazing tool for shoulder, knee, ankle or hip pain!

Dry needling involves the insertion of a fine filament, blunt tipped needle directly into the area of focus. The key difference between dry needling and acupuncture is that dry needling goes right at the problem area.
The goal of dry needling is to relieve the tension and pressure in the tissues, while also improving circulation, decreasing inflammation, decreasing pain and improving movement.

About Electric City Chiropractic
Meet Dr. Clay Winters DC
Dr. Clay Winters was born and raised in Conrad, Montana, just 45 minutes north of Great Falls. He attended Montana State University where he obtained his degree in Exercise Science. MSU was also where he met his beautiful wife, Sonia. Clay later went on to graduate school in Minneapolis to get his Doctor of Chiropractic with an emphasis in sports injuries and family chiropractic.
Currently Dr. Clay works full time at Gallatin Valley Chiropractic in Bozeman MT, 8-time winner of the Bozeman's Choice Chiropractor.
Part time he travels to Great Falls for relief chiropractic care for patients who may not be able to get in elsewhere.
In Dr. Clay's free time he loves being with friends and family. He has always been avid about being outdoors hiking, hunting, and fishing, as well as staying competitive in basketball and golf.
